In his own strange way, Lenny could actually be doing some accidental good. I'm convinced his attacks in the Yoli thread helped that thread rise to the first page of Google.
I just searched on Google for Amega wand scam. This thread is now ranked in the second position. Hopefully a few people won't waste $300 because they found this thread before buying a magic stick. |

No, they just have two totally different writing styles, and I'm pretty sure this is Chadwick:

I've been wrong before too. However you will notice they share a desire to have posters use their full real name. That's a bad idea. There are some sick people online who will take a message board disagreement into real life.
At best I view them as the Lenny/Chadwick tag team. |

Did you ask to have the infraction you received for it removed as well? How did that go? You regret referring to the other posters as a bunch of pricks, you asked for the post where you did so to be removed, you were infracted for it, and yet now you're asking us to agree with you in re-applying that epithet to one of our number? Srsly? You're kidding, aren't you? ![]() Well, duh. Do you think we all came down in the last shower, Lenny? Thanks for the heads-up, Mr Credibility. How did we ever manage before you came along to enlighten us all. |

You're spot on. Which made his refusal to answer Live&Learn and my questions all the more ridiculous.

Ooh! A timely reminder that Mr Clements appears to have missed an earlier post of mine. I'd better help him out Anyway, that's just a side-issue. What I'd really like to know is why Lenny is so keen to test Teh Stick™ in the first place. Of all the scams, shonky products and pieces of blue sky for sale in the world, why has this ridiculous magic stick been singled out as a focus for his awesome Powerz of Advocacy™ Balsa, Horse Feathers, 2", Brittle. |

I agree. Crookedness is tragic. Why do you think MLM has this problem?
Here's what puzzles me. Why were you were unwilling to tell us about Eniva? You can start a thread in the Economics, Business and Finance forum about that company. When I have time, I will start a thread about Yoli. |

I believe you were very close to the heart of the matter when you mentioned Len might be looking for a way to leverage his JREF connection. My guess, based on watching how he operates, is that he thought he could use this board to improve his battered online reputation. He probably expected to receive the Conquering Hero welcome from you guys and gals when he showed up.
Oops!

(A brief sidebar for fans of Len Clements)
"Mwave a.k.a. Chadwick" So first Len Clements ("Mwave") gets bent with his reception here and decides to shun us one and all. Three days later some goober named "Chadwick" magically appears with the same writing style and arguments --and drops 37+ posts (on this thread alone and nowhere else) between June 2-4. After the connection between the two is made then Len pops back up the next day --June 5th-- gives some oddball excuse about being so far out in the sticks he had no Internet access. True to form he dumps a steamin' load on one day --21 posts last time I counted. Not unexpectedly Chadwick is still AWOL. Not that any of this matters unless there's a rule against one person having multiple identities. If Len wanted to argue his points then why all the deception? (Wait.. an MLMer involved in "deception"? Say it ain't so!) Oh well, I'm just glad to have him back for the entertainment. But one wonders his motives (and sanity) for coming here to difinitively "prove" once and for all that a useless piece of crap is indeed just that. I rather doubt he gives a rats' about busting a scam. What he IS desperate to do (IMO) is to rehab his career and reputation. The problem is, the more he opens his condescending yap the deeper he sinks. So I'm half expecting to see one of his "Mwave Watchdog" reports about the Amega Wand on his website soon. Not that it'll matter much. Here's a traffic report to his website (for grins I threw in a chart for Yoli). http://siteanalytics.compete.com/yol...etwaveinc.com/ Hell, even my crappy website beats these. Such is the reality of most MLMillionaires. |

It looks like my first guess about both of this fellow was pretty good, and I find that in itself rather telling. It seemed to me so transparently obvious that this was the real agenda that I thought I must have been missing something. I think we need to consider that there may be a class of below-duper scammers operating hereabouts. For scammers and woo-peddlers alike, this place is a bit like the line from the song New York, New York - "If I can make it here, I'll make it anywhere." He didn't. |

Don't forget.. Len Clements recently wormed his way into the position of "Administrator" at Scam.com in order to clean house. As such he now has power over the Moderators (some whom have quit or been excommunicated) and, presumably, the ability to delete criticism of himself.
The problem for him is that, as predicted, his critics have simply moved to other forums. Most irksom by far has to be the bare butt beating he is taking here on his beloved JREF... an association he has continuously exploited --and presumably profited from-- for years via his website and press releases. The same goes for MENSA whose name and trademark he also exploits despite not being a member since 2005 (I know cuz I wrote and asked.. no crime in that). Apparently Len hasn't felt the need to remit the $59 annual dues. And here I thought he was rolling in MLM dough...

As Superman remarked in Superman II..... "Sorry I've been away, Mr. President. It won't happen again."
(Well, it will, but I don't have a good superhero quote for people who come and go as they please.)
Quote:
Who are we talking about, by the way? So - the old "Debate Me" canard, eh Len? We've had Truthers who thought this was a good idea, (most of them can be located now in Foster's Home For Imaginary Debaters) and they all seemed to have one thing in common with each other (and apparently you); they are Slicky Boys. Fast-talking, glib, experienced public speakers, etc... It doesn't matter whether they have any actual facts. What use are facts in a debate where three out of your five points are all based on "Isn't Len Trustworthy? Isn't Len Swell. Why Don't We All Work Harder to be More Like Len?" Those are all opinion pieces, Len. What are we gonna do? Stand there and repeatedly say, "Are not!"? And, by the way, I'm a trainer and very adequate public speaker. And I'm a fast-talking New York Jewboy, so you set up the venue. Topic: Just How Successful and Swell Is Len, Anyway? I will, of course, require full disclosure - including Powers of Attorney so that I can contact your bank and your accountant and financial advisor plus, naturally, all your teachers, doctors, co-workers, etc... throughout your entire life. I mean.... Swelldom is a lifelong thing, right? You don't just attain swellness overnight. I should know, I took the Michael J. Fox Swelliness Awareness course to get this swell, so I'm definitely an authority on the subject. Why I've been asked to testify in several of the better known Swellitude investigations in Malaysia and Bhutan. I mean, why clutter the discussions with all that crap about MLM? There are books written on the subject, dozens of books, pro-and-con. What are you going to settle in a six hour debate that hasn't been covered in the hundred thousand pages that have been written on the subject? But a debate on your swellness (which seems to be your main concern) should be well worth it. The Venerable Get A Life Fallacy. Some of us are actually retired, Len. Some of us aren't. Some of us are students. Yet again, some of us are poor, but use the internet as a lifeline. Some of us are just plain frakkin' rich from never having had our bank accounts sucked dry by some slick outta town gambler or MLM profiteer. And some of us have jobs where we can use the internet at work and don't have to stop off at Ray's Internet Cafe and Frog Gigging Center on Route 11. Oh, and I'd match my life - quantity and quality - to yours any day. Drop in next time you're in Hong Kong. Or have your girl call my girl. We'll do lunch next time I'm on the coast, babe. |

Well, thanks.
I think I've been nominated about five times (never won, sniff... and after years of sucking up to Hokulele*), and at least four of them have been for rants. I'm beginning to see a pattern, here. *Note to self. Go check the tea shop to see if the Dragon Wall and Bird's Tongue has arrived! (I owe Gidget some green tea since well before my bypass - those are obscure types that I asked them to bring in for me because they were out - oh about three months ago. I'm nothing if not a procrastinator.) Sorry for derail - back to Teh Stick. Where were we, now? |

Good point, FMW. Our thread has come a long way from its humble beginnings, and it may serve us well to have a little reminder of the awesomevity that is Teh Stick™. This is from amegawandenergy.com, which calls itself "an Amega Review Site". The many uses of the AMEGA wand: Release energy blockage into my body cells? Clear the distortions inside my Bio energetic magnetic field? Acquire homeostasis situation? Sign me up!!! Srsly, how much effort should we be putting into debunking this drivel? Any? |

I think you just stuck it to Lenny in no uncertain terms. Kudos, sir.
Akhenaten, you're right. There is nothing to debunk here, at least until the next nerk with a magic stick rocks up telling us how he can make lemons sweet. *thinks* Maybe they're planning to make lemonade without the sugar. |

Ditto! This thread has to contain some of the best humor I've found anywhere! Too bad you didn't make that offer sooner. Lenny was in Bangkok not long ago doing a training session. (I haven't checked, but Bangkok/Hong Kong can't be much more than a short bus ride apart?) Anyhow, as Lenny told the story...
Quote:
Funny thing was though, the weekend of the big training session, Lenny was furiously posting away on scam.com - and not from Bangkok. Something about the event being canceled I recall.

Yeah, we just go to the Hay Hay Kitchen, take a left and drive about 2500 miles.
I'm actually in Bangkok quite often. See that there avatar. Half-Thai (the good looking parts, I assure you). We'd be delighted to But the 1500 a day is probably the stuff of fantasy. (I'm sure a heartfelt testimonial and no evidence will be here shortly, though.) My company gets that for my outside speaking engagements, but not in a semi-third world economy like Thailand. And then again, I have something they want to hear (not snake oil - Logistics, UCP600, Incoterms, International Commercial Transactions). |

Lennie prefers debating because when he writes he is either abusive or easy to debug.
Clements vs. Taylor Clements vs. Webster Clements vs. Coenen Coenen again I wonder if any MLMs sell anger management tapes, tranquilizers, or mood stabilizers?

As to this laughing thing? Be assured, some of our most deadly serious posters are funnier than hell.
When you guys make your ways around the forum, you'll find a number of them (a few are here - Akhenaten and Sledge and Hokulele, obviously,... and I'll include myself if I may be so unhumble), but Central Scutinizer, The Marquis de Carabas, Tragic Monkey, Joey Donuts, et al (gah, I know I've offended someone and I'll be shunned in the next kegger at Phil Plait's house)... frankly, I'm humbled by some of these folks. My take, and I assumethat of many of the flingers of bon mots, one-liners, and faux tirades/rants is that absurd propositions, scams, and hucksters are fair game for ridicule. Ridicule is a very effective debating tool. But lest we appear soft, be assured, as I said, that a lot of this is deadly serious humor. |

I'd also point out that we're not making money off posting here, we're doing this at least in part for our own entertainment. Might as well have a little fun whilst doing some debunking.

Maybe someone from Amega will send us all a free Teh Stick™, in consideration of the wonderful publicity we've provided.
