BTW, if you ever want to read one of the most depressing life stories about someone who saved tens of millions of lives:

OK.
My original point was something that God left out of the bible, ie:
Quote:
The point I am making is that the idea that one race or tribe is somehow superior to all the other races and/or tribes of people on Earth is morally repugnant. The God who inspired the biblical authors didn't seem to have any qualms about racism, in fact he and his followers were supposed to glory in it. How could anyone in the 21st century find this so-called God worthy of worship and adoration? |

Here are just a few things that those people were doing: 1. Sacrificing their childfren as burnt offerings alive. 2. Having sex with animals. 3. Practicing witchcraft 4. Committing incest--father daughter-son mother etcetera. Based on that behavior the were found unworthy of occupying that land--were told to vacate. Some did but others chose to stand and fight and had to be forcefully evicted. When Israel copied their behavior they were evicted as well--TWICE. So is it really based on racism? Or is it the behavior which the biblical God is said to be targetting? Seems like the latter to me. http://www.theology.edu/canaan.htm BTW The Bible doesn't teach that God's choosing of Israel was based on any particular superiority that they had over the rest of mankind. It teaches that they were chosen based on the promise made to Abraham. In fact, they are repeatedly referred to as a stiff-necked people who God found hard to deal with due to their tendency to not pay attention and rebel.
