Last-minute help before early reg deadline?

Sorry for this being my first (?) post, but I need a little quick help.

I have funds that were supposed to be direct-deposited into my account today that I was going to use to pay for early registration, but it looks like they'll be delayed until Monday or Tuesday. Does anyone know if choosing the pay offline option, then mailing the check the moment the funds are available is acceptable, or does the payment need to be postmarked today to qualify? I'm not looking to cheat the system, but I'd like to save money however I can.

Second, if I pay for the JREF introductory membership today, then turn right back around and buy the ticket with the membership discount, is that acceptable, or do I need to have already received my membership information in the mail to qualify for the discount?

Also, anyone know if the deadline is EST, therefore 9PM Pacific (where I am), or are they not that tight about it? Anyone know the non-early price yet in case my workaround isn't an option?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The deadline has been extended to end-of-day April 30, right?

I would register now with pay offline. Then I would date the check for next Tuesday and mail it as soon as possible with a note that it has been post-dated to await funds. If you have paid for your JREF membership, you should be able to get the member price.

The only reasonable deadline is 23:59:59 EST.

Mention my name in your note and say that I gave you this advice.

~~ Paul

Thank you, Paul, I'm doing that now.

Just re-read what you clearly wrote, but I was too distracted to grok. I've purchased my JREF membership and then went back and followed your other instructions. Filling out the check now. Thanks a bunch for your assistance!
