Hippies and cuts on the feet.

In this week's commentary, it was asked as to why hippies would seek out traditional medicine for cuts on the feet. Well, I have the answer. It is because we hippies are NOT stupid (well, many of us, anyway.) Although many of my brothers and sisters will seek out alternative healing for their spirits, nothing prevents infection like good old neosporin and a band-aid.

Now, for damage to the spirit, ...

Randi seems quite prejudiced against "hippies" and displays a tendency to unfairly stereotype them. Oh well. There's no such thing as a... how does it go?

I thought you were dead. Love your guitar playing.

Yeah, some of us actually do have brains. And skepticism. Me, I believe in some things Randi would laugh at, but I am still a skeptic. Meaning, I won't believe in something without solid proof. Well, some things have been proven enough to me for me to believe in them. (For example, I have experienced telepathy so I know it exists. Like the time I was having a hard day at work, was thinking very hard to a girl I liked to call me at a specific time, and when I got home, she did so saying "well, I had to call you. You were being so loud about it." This was enough for me -- I thought at her, she had no way of knowing I was doing so, but said she heard me anyway.)

Hippies just look at the world a little differently than others. Like feeling that peace and love are more important than war and money. This does not mean that we abandon things that work, like western medicine.

btw, I am dead. (No, really, I am someone who wants to honor his memory, so use his nickname as mine in some chat rooms/forums.)
