The funny thing about this is that I remember watching this video with friends about 3 years ago and they automatically assumed it was real. I explained to them what The Onion was all about and they've been hooked since.

When I first found The Onion I did the same thing. Only 2-3 videos later I figured the gig out. They just look so professional and real (and it's not like I never before heard the news say something stupid). Felt pretty stupid after that.

There was a story recently about how this was making its way across the Internet. (I'm still trying to find it at the moment.) There was even a Facebook "freak out" group about the video.

Even when the CT find out that its from The Onion, they just say "Its still based of real stuff", or "They do this to put our guard down". How are zombies or flesh eating aliens based off real stuff (Because this video has nothing to do with martial law at all really, just flesh eating aliens or zombies). CT must be really easy to troll.\
