As anyone noticed the high percentage of cat avatars/name references at JREF? It seems higher than the population at large.

I am sure there must be some deep (and sinister) explanation behind this. As my contribution I would like to point out the Knights Templars were accused of worshipping a cat like creature (in some descriptions it seemed a bit like a Sphinx - but I think the sphinx was buried and poorly visible back then).

Either that or might have something to do with this

There do seem to be an inordinate number of people that believe cats are evil, just like there are an inordinate number of people that believe Jews are evil. Obviously, that means cats are indeed evil and that ownership or display of a feline is an overt declaration of one's affiliation with dark forces.

I really have to state that I have never had the thought cross my mind that my cat has a nice ass.

Soooo, a subjectively large number of JREF posters have a cat avatar or name, cats are sinister, the Sphinx was cat-like and the Templars may or may not have worshipped cats, and the Catholic church inquisition wiped out the templars.

So obviously JREF is sinister.
