Wikileaks supporters making up false rumors about Mastercard's security
(Although I really shouldn't call them "Wikileaks supporters" because the people I am talking about are terrible excuses for human beings and very few groups deserve to have them lumped in with them)
A bunch of 4chan twits are fabricating false rumors and spreading them around, that Mastercard customers' privacy has been compromised: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/1..._n_794164.html They are doing this in retaliation for Mastercard's ceasing to do business with Wikileaks: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11935539 How do I know that these rumors are made up? Because I was there. I was there, on 4chan, when they discussed their silly little plan. I took screencaps: http://i808.photobucket.com/albums/zz3/1337m4n/rumors.jpg
![]() Regardless of how you feel about Wikileaks, I hope we can all agree that spreading deliberate lies in order to promote a political agenda is wrong. Please spread the word to friends and family, as well as any other forums you attend, that any rumors they may have heard regarding Mastercard are false. |

This happens with all sort of cause. There are always trolls no matter the side of the politic spectrum, theist or atheist, educated or not.
I don't see it as a sign that wikileak is bad, I see it as another confirmation that people are dumb. PS: The best troll would be somebody who would not care and would start such a movement just for kicker. Or somebody which know such mvoement do not exists but would seed proof that there exists such attempt. just sayin'. |
