Prince Charles and Camillas car attacked

Quote:
The royal limousine was kicked, smashed and spattered with paint as the couple were taken to the Royal Variety Performance in the West End.

A review into the royal security and a Met police investigation is underway following the incident.

Prime Minister David Cameron has released a statement saying that he is “very concerned” about the lapse in security .

Demonstrators smashed windows, vandalised monuments and even set the Christmas tree on fire in Trafalgar Square.
Police sources have termed this as the most violent day in decades in London. The number of students taking part in the protest have seen a rise from last 2 weeks.
http://www.jusnews.co.uk/2010/12/pri...-fees-protest/

what caught my eye was the Student assembly speaker, Sean Rillo-Raczka, said, 'it will take a generation to heal' the divide between the students and the government.

What kind of talk is that?

Does it mean the old farts will die before forgiven?

Yup. Run the sums on what the baby boomers are doing and are going to do to the rest of the economy and they are certianly not going to be forgiven before they are dead.

Well if you from the UK and can post with such fearocity even with a geni for a name and anti- H illuminati under that, then may I ask if your position is founded because of being lied too?

What is a fix, besides death, as your suggestion?

No.

Thinking there is a fix is just the next mistake. Oh technicaly there are some things you could do. Double council tax for pensioners in large houses for example but none of them are really viable.

but to tear down the leadership, leaves a bigger void and affects far more than just tuition expense. Heck the school wouldnt exist.

i was wondering if there was some sort of legal imposition, that if a leader misrepresents the 'people' for subjective reasons, a liability is imposed in direct public? I think, kings and queens met the guillotine in the fuedal periods. (ooops, the UK is still playing that game)

ie... perhaps just start up a cry for responsibility, to begin, NOW! If a leader lies, from today forth, they have to repay each adversely affected with a piece of skin. Be fair, to make the pieces small enough for each to have their share.

Get the point?

ie... if any want to lead, they best 'walk on water'.

To see how bad it is on our side of the lake, check out our leaders. For example, in america when a president retires from barely a 6 figure job, he is given a 15 million dollar ranch from the thankful business owners he assisted while in office.

I wonder if the UK population is ready for that king of alternative.

What good are riot police if they aren't out there beating the hell out of protesters? If you're gonna invest in them you should get some return out of it.

I was just thinking for London they need a very small car with a good engine. Suddenly find yourself in trouble? Just do a quick U-turn and run away. The car they have is worthless if they find they are in trouble.

There is a no way to go argument. Budget deficit, harm on the education. Countries such as the US and Canada would be celebrating if they had a program like the UK gov are implementing after 2012. This is an clash between an hippocratic government and an irresponsible generation.

As long as the "little" people are kept in their ghettos, projects and council housing, the "big" people have nothing to fear.

Non-sequitur.

Your post is a non-sequitur, and therefor irrelevent to the topic of this thread.

I guess whoever's in charge of the Royal Protection Squad has some answering to do.
Even though I'm opposed to hereditary monarchies, and am no fan of Charles Windsor, I do feel this was inappropriate. I doubt if Elizabeth Windsor had any direct input into this decision, and obviously Charles didn't.

Err the generation that those protesting belong to has few morgages sub-prime or otherwise and fairly limited amounts of debt. They have never run a bank into the ground and have never elected a goverment that hasn't at least tried to balance the budget. They have also never worked to produce a highly unbalanced economy.

Well the previous lot of rioters are running the country. Quite a few MPs with student activist histories (the younger poll tax protestors should be surfacing about now as well). Alternatively you've got the likes of David Cameron and George Osborne who belonged to the "smash things up and rely on parents to buy them out of trouble" crowd.

The channel islands? Most of the men the right age to form a resistance movement were away in the army. The large number of germans on the islands also made things differcult. But this is all well documented.
