This Pacu fish was caught in Texas in 2009. People keep them as pets but because they grow so big a lot of them get released into NA lakes. The teeth evolved to process fruit and nuts, a diet which makes them quite tasty apparently

This reminds me of a quote I came across recently...

“Nor do I think we came from monkeys, by the way,” he insisted. “That’s another piece of garbage. What the hell’s it based on? We couldn’t’ve come from anything—fish, maybe, but not monkeys. I don’t believe in the evolution of fish to monkeys to men. Why aren’t monkeys changing into men now? It’s absolute garbage.”
-John Lennon

Apparently we evolved from mud skippers, into dinosaurs, back into fish, then pliesiosaurs, then flying squirrels then monkeys then us. I bet Darwin's cross but what can you do, I'm a Guinness fundamentalist (give thanks for the word of Beer).

False caption. The OP photo isn't of a Pacu. It's a Sheepshead.

Yes, that is a Pacu. But the upper teeth (not shown) are nothing like a human or a Sheepshead.

Now I recall seeing fish with human teeth recently. The parasitic isopod that asserts the place of a fish's tongue for several years, which looks like am amazing science fiction creature inside a cock pit piloting it's luxury battle fish cruiser.

I found those while looking for an answer in the "name that animal" thread. Those are horrifying. Keep in mind too, that those are cousins of the isopods we played with as kids (Rolly Pollys / Pill Bugs / Wood lice).
