Latest Office Fundy Offering

Quote:
OIL FIELD FLUID PRESSURE

Current oil fields are under too much pressure to be very old. Current scientific estimates say that the longest maximum time a rock layer could keep oil under pressure is 100,000 years. Even using this timetable the oil we now have is only 10,000 years old.

Last week he had the old tired "Earth's Magnetic Field is weakening".

This is a new one I have not heard.

Does the earth have a prostate problem, as I understand you can lose pressure as you age?

Umm... either

1) It's total BS, and the rocks are far more resiliant then there is credit given to them, or the pressure really isn't that bad.

or

2) The oil and accompanying pressure are recent.

Well, seems like the real truth (tm) is far more complicated than I guessed.

Should've thought to check talkorigins.

Response to latest office fundy offering

Quote:
OIL FIELD LOCATION

The richest oil fields are located in the Middle East, a region primarily inhabited by practitioners of Islam. This oil is granting power and wealth to Muslims. If the Christian God were real, he would surely have placed the oil in an area primarily inhabited by Christians, so clearly, there is no God.

I figure it makes no less sense then the initial argument.

I may not know the scientific way to dispute the fundy arguments, but I can certainly come up with an argument just as illogical to prove their god doesn't exist.

Triad, if you are looking for those, just give me the offering from your office fundy and I'll do what I can.
