Planet 'X' ?

What is this nonsense. An old school friend of mine is babbling about the end of the world, and I just KNOW its been discussed here before.

Someone fill me in so I may put my insane friend at ease.

At ease? We've only got 2 months left man! If you've got anything you want to do before you die do it now. Quit your job, leave the old lady, send all your $ to charity (I'll PM you with an address).

If you have any doubts, check this link.

On second thought, send me... cough, I mean the 'charity', your $ now, before you waste time following the above link.

Two answers to this.

1) Planet X.

There was an article a couple of months back in the New Scientist entitled "somewhere out beyond Pluto, something is wiping space clear." Apparently there is mounting evidence of very large kuiper-belt objects waiting to be discovered.

2) Planet Nibiru.

Which, according to some New-Agers is supposedly another planet on a very long orbit which is coming comet-like into the inner solar system. The problem with this theory is that it's supposed to arrive this year, but at the moment nobody has spotted it, and for it to be that far away and still get here this year it would need to be travelling too fast to be in a solar orbit.
