UK Psychics Wanted

In the UK free paper 'Metro' there is a piece about a company in Glasgow called Psychic Psychic advertising through a government jobs agency for call centre psychics.

The company is quoted as saying "Candidates would be tested to make sure there are no charlatons"

WTF

How do they intend to test this then? Wouldn't the accepted job seekers be better off going after a certain million?

In other words they're looking for professional liars to fleece the gullible/idiots.

That's about the size of it but I find the charlatans quote to be hilarious.

Bit annoying though that it's on a government jobseekers site.

I think it is UKMetro dot co dot uk but you could google 'metro associated newspapers' and that should find it. If the paper is online it is on page 7 in the London edition.

How about someone trying to apply for one of the jobs and see what testing happens.

Call Me Crazy But - if you could find the links, you can now post them here. You have enough posts to do so.

Here is the newspaper link -

http://www.metro.co.uk/news/

I tried a search for the article but couldn't find it. There may be more options if you registered with them but I haven't.

Here is the company site. I'm sold!

Of course it is yesterdays news now so might not be available online but my wife spotted it at 11:30 last night and I couldn't resist flagging it up

There was an ad a few months back on the UK government website. A frim based in Hamilton, Scotland, was recruiting people to be telephone psychics. I sent them an email asking fo rmore info. i'll have a look and see if I can dig out the reply if I still have it.

Meantime, there's this:

And there I was thinking the company would be Rent-A-Ghost.... At least then the line about charlatans would have been intended to be so funny it made me spurt coffee from my nose when laughing...

Job centers have very little screening on the jobs they will advertise. Have been known to advertise non existant jobs and scams. About the only thing they won't advertise is various adult industry stuff.

Is the Million Dollar Prize from JREFF for passing the test part of the business plan?
