I think it's hard to be bullied by being mislabled and by being threatened with supernatural punishment. Most of us non-religious types find such epithets amusing and ridiculous. It's not Edge's (and others like Limbo) words that I find offensive, it's more their posting styles and their posting attitudes.

They could write, but they sploodge — word vomit with narry a backspace or word-check in sight.
They could read other's posts, but they skim and fly off the handle.
They could show some restraint, but they wildly lurch in all directions.

They could try to meet us halfway, they could aim for some kind of accord, but they just want to degrade and confuse and preen.
They could learn from what they have endlessly been taught, instead they goldfish it and come back clueless on every circuit of the bowl.

I know I should look upon that kind of posting with pity and compassion, but it seems I am not that grown up yet.

That's why, I am fairly sure, these kinds of threads head towards temper rather than concord.
