Parody is all that is left on this thread.

No dummy spit here. I am actually interested in federal politics and what is occurring now. I find this government on the nose as do the polls. If people want to engage in a discussion I will do so happily and respectfully. If not I will happily give as good as I get.

Others seem to like to dismiss the truth of the situation by engaging in ad homs, ignoring it and/or hoping it goes away.

This thread in particular is not about and election result 18 months ago, but the current trends and feelings of the electorate as well as our fellow posters. It is about why these feelings might be the way they are, and the polls project possible outcomes of an election if held today.

If people want to engage in denial, that's up to them. I happen to enjoy the valid part of the debate.

You (as is everyone else) are free to leave. Either that, or you could just stay on topic. i.e. “Dont write crap, can't be that hard"

He he: No problems.
She isn't completely useless - she has given us a few good lines in her time. To give some credit too, I like what she has been trying to achieve with education (as opposed to BER).

*As an aside, I personally I think that in Australia we need two purely socialist-type industries (in that they are supported by the governments) and they are education and health. The rest can be pretty much attended by private industry with the odd government partnership.

But sadly, her good performances and deliveries are massively outweighed by the bad.

Browsing the Age today I found this paqragraph which sums up some of my sentiments towards her very nicely:

The polls merely represent sentiments that are expressed at any social function or workplace when the talk gets around to politics and the nation's first female prime minister. Coalition supporters and more than a few who regard themselves as swinging voters will say: ''I just don't like her.'' Some of those who normally inhabit the Labor column aver: ''She's such a disappointment.''

One month since my last post

Labor seems to be falling again - wonder why? Their primary vote at a catastrophic 33% again

http://www.essentialmedia.com.au/

Abbott is preferred PM (other polls) and Gillard is gasping her last breaths (one hopes)

Worst PM ever!

Not much change in over six months is there?

Poor Julia, everything she does turns to muck.
