Come meet us! Photos of TAMbassadors

I think it would be a great idea to post pictures of TAMbassadors, so that we can be easily recognized and, better, already have something to talk about.

So I'm Luciana, 36, Brazilian, travelling to Vegas for the 5th time only to attend TAMs. This year I'll do a pre-trip with other forum members, we'll be visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone (ask me about it! Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to see the Grand Prismatic Spring!). I'm single, recently finished an MBA and I work as an aide to the mayor of Rio (ask me about it!)

Here is a picture of me, from a trip I made to Easter Island (ask me about it!). The place is beyond amazing, especially for skeptics - there's no shortage of myths and bad science involving the moai (and you should ask me about it).

I was present at the first TAM and have been in this forum since its inception, August 2001. I know some of the posters from back then, and I want to meet more people. If you're a TAM veteran, come say hello to me. If you're a newbie, please introduce yourself!

Now, TAMbassadors, please add a pic and a brief profile here!

I will be wearing this shirt on at least one of the days, and I will probably have a laptop similar to that one (also a convertible tablet, but my newest one has a larger Toshiba logo) with me some of the time.

I might also be wearing that watch (a Casio Databank calculator watch), but I'm not sure. My SmartPhone has made it rather redundant, over the past two years, so I've been wearing it less often.

Do you have any photos from that trip you made to Monument Valley a few years ago with that cute boy?

This is pretty much me. Sometimes my hair is pulled back in a pony tail. Sometimes I'm not wearing a hat.

I'm a founder of the Skeptic Friends Network. This will be my 7th TAM. My hair is grayer than it used to be. This photo was taken at TAM9.

I can't seem to delete this post. Sorry about the double posting.

I don't have one of me with Easter Island statues, so this is the next best thing, from last year.

I currently live in Ohio, USA, but in the past I've lived in Latin America (hablo español) and South East Asia. This is only my third TAM, but I had a great time at TAMs 8 and 9. Looking forward to 10.

Here's me. Saganite, fairly well known around these parts, having attending TAMs 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and now 10. I've lived in Los Angeles for most of my life and work in the film industry as a script consultant and screenwriter. As the photo below will attest to, I occasionally moonlight as a stock photo model, my specialty being "pensive woman in 30s sipping hot beverage."

I generally know where the parties are, and what in-jokes everyone keeps maddeningly referring to.

Well, this is me at TAM9, but I'm not sure how useful it is...

I'll look for something more helpful.

Hmmm, let me look for a decent photo. Meanwhile you can see me in 2 of the pics on the TAM website. I am right behind Neil DeGrasse Tyson in the pics of his book signing table.

My forum name is my real name, just to keep life simple. I'm from northern Virginia and this is my 5th TAM. I'm often wearing some variation of this shirt, if I'm not in a TAM tee, plus a Surly of one sort or another. I'll be at Southpoint from Tuesday the 10th through the following Tuesday--much of the time in the Del Mar--so feel free to introduce yourself.

I never realized Penn was such a big dude. Unless AdMan is like five-three or something, Penn has to be enormous.

Penn is huge. Like somewhere between 7 and 8 feet tall.

Actually, I am about Teller-sized. Need to look for the picture. We're just about the same height.

He and I suffer in comparison to Penn.

Penn often comments when folks post photos of themselves with him, "It looks like you just captured a Sasquatch."

Yeah, Penn is huge. There's not many people in the world who make me feel small, and he's at least two of them!
