Crackpot NWO Bible paranoia

Following is a copy of an email I received from someone I know. I'm concerned that this person is a paranoid schizophrenic, but it also appears as though there is an industry preying on these depraved individuals:

Hello all,
I recently attended a Conference here in Indiana. The topic was Defending the Faith. Most taught on how to witness to people involved in cults/occult. One of the speakers was a New World Order researcher. He is not just another conspiracy theorist, but he was an International Trade Specialist whom the NWO tried to recruit. He has written what he knows first hand, and what he has reseached via contacts from the Governments of the world.

Everyone who cares about the truth needs to know about this, because they intend to enslave us all by 2006! It is up to the true believers in God and Jesus Christ to resist this by standing firm in the Gospel, as well as exposing the dark plans.

There are 3 books that can bring you up to speed: "En Route to Global Occupation", "The New World Religion", both by Dr. Gary Kah; and "Surveillance Society" by Grant R. Jeffrey. All three can be ordered from local bookstores, or online at Gary's website 'Hope For The World' www.garykah.org. This is all fully confirmable and these books show you where to look for the proof.

For all of you out there being tortured and experimented on with the mind tech stuff, these tie together nearly EVERYTHING we have been researching. If you are authenticly an mc test subject, HERE ARE THE ANSWERS! These authors always go back to scripture and show that it was all prophesised, and then what God says about it! Praise God for these brave men in Christ!!!

I just need to add this: Do not protest or resist in a violent way! Violence only adds to their argument that 'big brother' keeps the peace. This info is to wake up people to the time, not to cause fear or terror. If you are truely called by God, to have faith in Christ Jesus, then you will be able to discern all these things. Please remember to pray, the hour is at hand!

So I'm looking for discussion about this, and I'm also looking for any information regarding these scam artists...

Thanks,

Corinna

Well, Gary seems to be endorsed by Rapture Ready. Like this., so he MUST be legit.

Reading the Amazon reviews of his book is entertaining, if a bit depressing.

I'm afraid I don't have much to contribute, but don't give up. There are more sane people out there than you might think.

Welcome to the forums . . . two drink minimum. . . .

The problem is that it is comforting to believe people are out to get you. Not you, specifically, at least we do not have you on our list . . . yet, . . but people in general.

You have to be pretty important for world-wide conspiracies to devote the time and resources trying to destroy you.

Next comes the satisfaction with the belief you know something "no one else" knows.

Religion is an extreme example--the universe thinks you are special.

Sorry, little to offer in the way of discussion or information, but I do have the following comment:

... "the mind tech stuff"??? What could that be??? An appeal to wallow...?

Wow, that is depressing. It makes me want to track down the book so that I can read it with a skeptical mindset. I wonder if my local public library has any copies around?

I think I'll look into that.

I have to admit that I'm reluctant to read offal like this though for fear that it will affect my sanity ala the language meme from Snowcrash.

Thanks for the welcome... my two drinks will have to be 'virgin' though since I'm at work. :-)

The person who sent me this email has professed other paranoid sentiments to me in the past. For example, he can only be on the Internet for a few minutes at a time, otherwise his ex-wife will detect him online and hack his computer.

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether I should call the local authorities to get this man some help?

Don't forget the biggest plus on believing in a conspiracy against you:

Your life sucks, but it's definitely the conspiracy's fault, and not your own lack of education, drug abuse, brain damage, stupidity, etc.

To people who are used to blaming god/jesus/allah/satan/spirits/supernatural/keeble-elves/etc. for their woes, blaming an invisible 'conspiracy' for pulling strings in the background is right up their alley.

The nice thing about a secret underground international conspirators that are out to get you is, 'they' hide their tracks so well, that finding no evidence is proof!

I recommend you run this last one by the froot loop in question. His response might be good for a laugh.

Added:

Unless he's waving a gun around, threatening to hurt you, other people or himself, he's probably just 'average'. Half of all people in the world have below-average intelligence, and half of all people in the world have below-average sanity. If you can establish 'average' as a line down the middle of the population, anyway.

There's really no polite way to approach someone about their mental health. You might talk to his close friends or family, if you know any of them well, and let them know about your concerns. If you are close enough to this person to feel comfortable about discussing therapy (and by mentioning 'authorities', I guage that you aren't), then just leave him be, or you'll just be someone who's provably 'out to get him'.

Not to mention that by bringing it up on this message board, you are alerting the Evil Atheist Consipacy to his presence, thus making you part of the EAC.

Welcome!

Black Helicopter Pilot training sessions start on alternate Tuesdays and last 6 weeks, assuming you have prior helicopter experience.

Wire tapping classes are being phased out in favor of Hacking 101 and 102, but are still available if you are traveling to any former Warsaw Pact countries in the line of duty.

Don't worry about sending in a check to cover your dues, we've already deducted the appropriate amount from your account.

Corina:

Like your toilet, unless you are an expert, do not try to fix it.

Seriously.

A person who is not floridly psychotic and a danger to himself and others is a problem you do not need. For he will become your problem. As EvilDave mentioned, it is not simply "crazy" but "stupid" sometimes. The guy may not be crazy but uneducated.

Thus, a person who believes his wife is sitting waiting to hack his computer will believe you are in love with him, trying to suck out his personality, insert-your-ignorant-delusion-here.

Avoid at all costs.

Although I understand what you are saying, I disagree with your characterization of paranoid schizophrenics as "depraved". They have a mental disorder, one that disconnects them from reality. These people need help, not scorn. Thank you, and welcome to the forum.

I would like to echo these opinions. My boyfriend's dad is a paranoid schizophrenic and a very sweet man. He is very religious and I could definitely see him falling for some of this crap. He already believes that you can get cancer from certain traffic lights in the area, that he has the power to give people cancer with one of his eyes and that he was responsible for his father's death, among a host of other delusions, some of which have involved people telling him to kill family members which caused him to be institutionalized multiple times. However, he is by no means a "depraved" individual and simply needs to be properly medicated. He is not ignorant or uneducated, but mentally ill. If this guy really does have a mental illness, he needs to get the proper help.

The ultimate problem with alerting the authorities is, even if he makes a direct death threat to your face: if nobody else sees it, the police don't care. It's your word against his, and that's that as far as the police are ever concerned.

There is a third class of people not mentioned, yet. Sociopaths. I have some neighbors who fall into this category. They've assaulted and battered some of the other neighbors (women living alone), but they're scrupulous about having a look-out (their kid) make sure nobody else is around to see it. They have court restraining orders against all of their neighbors who share property lines with them. Long, long stories.

Now then, 'sociopath' is certainly someone to leave well enough alone. Now then, there is a whole class of nutballs who will turn into sociopaths if you push them.

Never underestimate the potential for human greed. Do these so-called secret societies exist? Sure they do. And, has anyone ever conspired to do anything behind the backs of the people? All the time. While I for one don't care for Big Brother or, Jehovah per se' ...

Of course you're absolutely right. I was probably searching for the word 'deranged' or 'deluded' and erroneously employed the word 'depraved' instead.

No offense was meant.
