The hell with politics

To whom it may concern: (You know the people I'm talking about!)

"Willfully ignorant". "Naive". "Apathetic". Some of the charges leveled at ordinary people for the crime of being happy.

Yes, it's a miserable world. Darkness is everywhere, and people are suffering and need help. I will not ignore their cries.

However.... YOU, my accusational friend, are NOT going to exploit that pain and suffering for your own personal agenda (that is, your lust for power and fame). No amount of whining is going to ruin my party. You are not going to make me feel guilty for laughing, loving, and smiling.

So be angry. I don't care! When you want to relax and act like a normal person, let me know. But leave your politics, beliefs, and other life-distractions at the doorstep. They aren't welcome here!

So this is the Politics and Current Events forum, and we should leave our politics at the doorstep? And you determine what is welcome here? How about you add this phrase to your list instead: "delusions of grandeur".
