Dale Jr. saved by Ghost of Dale?

Hi folks,

Dale Earnhardt Jr, in an interview to be shown on 60 minutes, seems to think a ghost helped him climb out of a burning race car a few months ago.

Here's a quote from the MSN article I saw on it:

"Earnhardt told 60 Minutes he grabbed one of his representatives by the collar, "screaming at him to find the guy that pulled me out of the car. He was like, 'Nobody helped you get out,' and I was like, 'That's strange because I swear somebody ... had me underneath ... my arms and was carrying me out of the car."'

Here's a link to the entire article

Comments/explanations?

For those not interested in auto racing, the basic history is this: , Dale Earnhardt Sr was killed in an accident during the last lap of the Daytona 500 about 3 years ago. Dale Jr, also Nascar driver, was involved in a wreck a few months ago where his car burst into flames and he managed to climb out, suffering severe burns on his legs and chin.

Obviously someone should tell Junior that spirits don't come back from the other side, that he better accept Jesus before he feels the full effects of hellfire for all eternity.

Probably a combination of head injury, smoke / fume inhalation, and ignorant superstition.

Maybe his suit was suddenly tight under the armpits after being tossed around by a crash. I would have thought this was fairly likely.
