Prayer works!! Again

Seems the US Government is supporting some of this drivel. Really amazing.

It's all about the money. In that report alone, I saw $2.3 million in government grants for one study, major grants from corporate donors for Susan Targ's ongoing work (before she died), $2.4 million for another study...so it goes. Really, the JREF million is just small potatoes compared to some of this stuff.

With an evangelist in the white house, that is hardly suprising.

It is all very confusing. In the second debate I though Bush sounded more like a Roman Catholic (on stem cell research, for example) and Kerry more like a traditional Protestant (tolerant and aware that his, or Bush's, religious beliefs should not be forced on a whole nation).

Given how our governemnt is more than willing to throw money at anyone with a grant proposal, I think that this would have happened no matter who was in the White House.
