This is exactly why the government shouldn't be involved in this. It's not like we need the government to advance science. The last thing government is going to be is impartial and nonpolitical.

Where's the beef? This article sites one person who was withdrawn. Also, the article uses the term "scientists" ambiguously which implies that they want people to think "all scientists" versus the one they quote.
