Pope's death causes eclipse

This yahoo news article is probably just bad wording, but is anyone really expected to buy this?
Here's a quote:
Quote:
Those who say eclipses herald history-shaping events will find support for their superstition when, on Friday, the Sun will be briefly plunged into darkness on the day of Pope John Paul II's funeral.
As though the Pope's death actually caused the eclipse. And:
Quote:
Astronomers, though, say the eclipse, while of a rare and intriguing type, was calculated long ago and is simply part of a ballet in celestial physics between the Sun, Earth and Moon.
Great to put that in there, but doesn't it paint these as just two contrasting viewpoints?

Re: Pope's death causes eclipse

Doesn't really matter to the faithful that this eclipse occuring was known about before the death of the pope.

God made the pope die and timed his funeral to coincide, don't cha know?

Please don't mention all the previous pope's who died without an eclipse in their honor.

Wow. That's really creepy. There's a prophecy in some old stuff I have:
Quote:
And on the fourth month on the darkened sun
The great fisherman will lay down his nets
Three will come and two left behind
across the water
they will come on ships shadowed with wings.

- Book of Sudpit 4:12
The next hybrid eclipse will take place on April 20 2023, isn't that Hitler's birthday? I wonder if it all means anything?
