Dead Famous
Saw a story on CNN about a new show coming to the Biography Channel called "Dead Famous". A guy named Chris Fleming goes around claiming to talk to dead celebrities. See http://www.historychannel.com/global...8&NetwCode=BIO for more info. In his interview he talked about convincing skeptics, so that gave me an idea.
I think I found contact info for him at a site called unknownmagazine.com, and not wanting to miss a chance to raise a little heck I sent him an email informing him of the JREF Challenge and suggesting that he could convince many skeptics by applying and winning. I also asked him to please email me if he chose not to apply with his reason(s) why. I'm not holding my breath waiting for a response, but if I get one I'll pass it along. If I can, I'll get his permission to post the full text of his letter so there'll be no question of misquoting. While I wait, anyone familiar with this person? I did a search of the forum but didn't turn up anything. |

I briefly saw the Jim Morrison episode. I was flipping through the channels and stopped for a second. It was a steaming pile of crap. All the conclusions were ridiculous and based more on the myth of Morrison than fact. Like the heart attack he suffered was due to him "Having shared so much creativity he was just too tired to keep living. He's much happier now." I'm paraphrasing but it's the gist of the crap spewed. And the drugs and heavy drinking surely had nothing to do with it. I will also email this guy and see what trouble I can cause. Thanks for the link.

No response so far.
Guess when you're hanging out with folks like Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and Jim Morrison you don't have a lot of time to answer your e-mail. . .
