Noooo, surely not.

A UFOlogists meeting is about to happen nearby a place I'm working at southern Brazil.

Hilarious, that's all I say.

Specially because I once met an ET. Yep, the real deal - A guy who once was paid to stay inside an abandomned mine gallery at the top of a hill flashing a headlight. Down the hill a crowd of woos stood in awe, after having paid for a visit to a farm that is an UFO hotspot. The visit was organized by *sounds of rolling drums*

An UFOlogist and the farm's owner, of course. That are still in the UFO business.

Talking

This one was really funny

"Uruguayan Rafael Ulloa who says aliens in spaceships spirited away people from New York's twin towers in the September 11, 2001, attacks"

and

"Reed, a former child-developmental psychologist who says he took the alien home and lived with it for nine days in which it communicated via telepathy and was able to pull thoughts from his mind."

The news article mentioned Jonathan "Reed" of Reed-Rutter hoax fame. His story was so completely busted here in the US I guess he has to go abroad to pursue fame and fortune. But the UFO world had never been good at excluding even obvious hoaxers and Rutter had a good run on Art Bell a while back.

The "microbiologist" in Rutter's story is one Harold Chacon who works at a gas station at the corner of Admiral and California here in West Seattle. I dropped by the gas station about two years ago and asked Chacon if videos were still on sale and, after a moment of stunned silence, he managed to blurt out "The Link" which is the name of the video/book that Rutter was selling.

While it never got the same play as Billy Meier, the Reed-Rutter hoax is just as asanine.

Can UFOology possibly dig itself in any deeper?

"Can UFOology possibly dig itself in any deeper?"

You have doubts?

Well, just in case, it'll be at Caçapava, Rio Grande do Sul state, at an ehxausted copper mine. Minerals attract UFOs, you know... They even bought a house there!

Maybe there's some nice-looking UFO woo girls there... Just remember to keep their mouths shut.
