Easy boy... easy....

But, if you wouldn't mind, please take this opportunity to introduce yourselves and tell us what lead you here. Also, don't pass up a chance to criticize the management.

Cicap? Please tell us more about that. Is that an Italian skeptic group?

Hey jewel... Don't pay any attention to the peanut gallery! I thought it was perfectly fine to state your bra size, although now that it is out, I think the guys are wanting to know more about you!

Yes... There IS a danger to revealing your assets around here on this board.

Yes, well, we can be an oasis of sanity at times. However, there can also be a lot of drama. That's probably good since the daytime soaps are lacking these day in the drama flakes (TM by kookbreaker) department.

Welcome to the board, toto63!! You're being quite mysterious. You need to tell us more about this Cicap organization. And, how did you find this forum? Are there any famous Italian psychics over there? What is are the things that drive you crazy as a skeptic there? Of course, I'm assuming that you are a skeptic.

By the way, I LOVE Italian shoes... (hint, hint)

Cicap is an italian skeptical organization, inspired by Randi and made in late seventies by Piero Angela (a TV journalist), the biggest italian scientists and some illusionist. We does the same things that Csicop does in USA, but this is the country of Lotto so it's very hard for a skeptic to talk.
I've found this forum looking for some Randi's news
The most famous italian psychic is Gustavo Rol. He's dead, but people use his memory as a weapon against skeptics. Some people would like that Pope will make he saint! Of course, when he was alive, he refused to be tested by Randi.
Just try to spend a year in Italy, telling people that you are skeptic and you'll see how people could drive you crazy here

I could send some italian shoes, but by e-mail

Just an informal "hi"

Hello everyone...

I've been lurking around for about a month now and finally decided to register...

I came here through a link from another message board and decided to check it out since I am somewhat familiar with the great Randi (TV specials, million dollar challenge).

Looking forward to talking with you!

I'd like to welcome all the newcomers.

Most of you may not even recognize my name, but I assure you I have been around for awhile. I've been away for a bit, but I hope to be back soon, posting regularly.

And don't listen to anything some of the regulars might tell you about me, they all lie.

Welcome to the Forum, Kel!

I'm glad that you decided to de-cloak. (yes, I love Star Trek)

So, what made you decide to come out of hiding? Was it a particular thread that you want to contribute to?

Sometimes the best work is done behind the scenes. The world is now mine, so I hope Plan B is a better one.

Thanks for the welcome...

I've wanted to register for a while but never got around to doing so until last night.

There wasn't any particular thread that made me finally decide to do it. I was just intrigued by the discussions going on in the Religion and Paranormal forums... some of them looked really interesting.

Not much of an introduction. We want more information than that. E.g. religious or atheist?

His Nibs is a well-known expression.

Quote:
his is a mock title used to refer to a self-important man, especially one in authority. It is modelled after the pattern of references to the British aristocracy, such as his lordship.
So she merely changed the sex of it.

There's also a brand of candy anmed Nibs. They come in licorice and cherry flavors.

Thanks for the welcome. I was posting under the name BTom or BT at other boards where I got into trouble with the "alternative" medicine crowd. They ended up calling me BTox, which I found amusing. I guess it could also be short for Botulinum toxin, but I don't have too many wrinkles...... yet!
