Not a scam; it's a legitimate effect.

Some of these small, self-contained effects are cool. I've got one that makes my Marks-A-Lot marker's label "change" to the name of a selected card. It's great.

The Ebay price is only $10 less than for what the other shops are selling it. Most places sell it for $199 (MSRP I suspect). However, I did see it at GhoulChaser Magic for $164.

wow! Cause I thought I could make one for 99cents for the pen and about $5 for the tiny magnet from Radio Shack....

Guess it is different than I thought My way would work too though!
