Jeruselum Post: Zarqawi killed in Mosul

This is speculation at this point, but it would be a great victory if confirmed:

Quote:
The Elaph Arab media website reported on Sunday that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq terror group, may have been killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred while coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding. American and Iraqi forces are looking into the report.
Fingers crossed.

Heh. Even if we didn't get him this time, eventually he'll be killed, perhaps by his own family.

Well, CNN is reporting it is "highly unlikely and not credible" at this time.

We shall see.

The guy who CNN quoted is in China, so how does his opinion become the best one to go with in this uncertain situation?
National Security Council spokesman Frederick Jones' statement itself (from Beijing) should automatically be 'discounted' -- how the blazes does he know who was or wasn't involved in that incident? These White House hacks are really something. Instead of a carefully-considered comment like: "I'll get back to you with my valuable opinion after the intelligence gathering on-site has been more properly evaluated" Jones blurts out:
"The report is highly unlikely and not credible"

I'll tell you what's not credible --- Jones.
