Checking up on tax exempt groups
I was wondering if there is a way to find out if a particular church/group has tax exempt status as well as other related details about the organization. The IRS website on the subject does not have details on groups... http://www.irs.gov/charities/churches/index.html

I think you should be able to check with your Secretary Of State. They should have a website, or at the very least you can call them.
