Cardboard Box Feminism

During the recent bruhahaha about wearing the Islamic veil in French schools, some people argued that it is actually an expression of "feminism" and a "choice" to live according to the way Islam asks women to be treated.

Well, in that case...

Well I actually support women (and anyone other adult) living as they want to - if that means wearing a veil, covering their head to worship or wearing a wig who cares? If someone wants to live in a cardboard box all their lives who am I to stop them?

It's a good page to wheel out for when you want to show with humour the utter silliness of all these religious "laws" and customs.

As long as they want to walk around like that, and aren't forced by someone else(excluding gunderscored), i don't see the problem, however, if their husbands or parents force them, then i see a problem.

And as to schoolgirls, and other children and teenagers?

This country is planted thick with laws from coast to coast, man's laws not God's, and if you cut them down—and you're just the man to do it—do you really think that you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the devil the benefit of the law, for my own safety's sake.

I have no problem with curtailing the rights of non-adults.
