Irony at Curezone.com

I came across this definition of "Internet/Forum Troll" on what appears to be a Quack medical site:

curezone.com/forums/troll.asp

It just struck me as very ironic somehow. They even mention "Many curezone trolls are people trying to promote Quackwatch / ratbags agenda."

Is anyone familiar with this site? It's full of "cleansing" diets and colloidal silver treatments, it also has the expected support for homeopathy.

This kind of thing drives me crazy...it's like watching a Kirk Cameron video...

The parallels between religion and "alternative medicine" are pretty obvious aren't they?

I just heard a fantastic quote by Stephen Colbert recently (paraphrasing):

"I respect all religious beliefs, be you christian, muslim, hindu or jew - I believe there are innumerable paths to accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour"

Oh, you will....

Google Kirk Cameron and "The Way of the Master"...

That's some crazy stuff.

I only mention it in the context of "alternative medicine" and religion having similar traits amongst it's proponents.

Their "examples" of troll posts don't seem very trollish at all.

I like this bit:

Yeah, because asking people to back up their claims is just bloody unreasonable. I say string him up!

I think that's why I had to start this thread, their definition of troll had such a dogmatic tone.

What's the purpose of this curezone website anyway? To just further prop up the unfounded pseudoscience and not have "reason" spoil their party?

It's like "bible study" where all that they do is study their own interpretation of (whatever approved version they choose) the Bible. Shouldn't Bible study include questions like "who wrote it?", "why did they write it?", "when did they write it?", "does it have any historical evidence to support any of it's stories?" etc.
