Need help: Holy Blood, Holy Grail

I hope I got the book's name right.

Can anyone help me by recommending books, articles or web-sites providing a scholoarly refutation of Holy Blood/Holy Grail? The book that tries to show that Jesus survived the cruxifiction and went to France, founded the French royal line, etc. I read the book many, many years ago and recall being troubled by it -- it seemed very soft on it sources. I was having a discussion with a person the other day who believes it whole-hog, but I couldn't think where to send that person to to refute the premise. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a little something:

You might also want to check Usenet, as well as reading the purchaser comments for this book on Amazon.com. There could be some useful info there.

There is one holy grail in the cathedral of my city, Valencia.
I heard there a lot of them over all Europe, around 20 or near. Nobody seems to give much credibility to the history of our local holy grail, including christian authorities...

I think that by just verifying the sources in Holy Blodd, the thing is mainly mythological.
