Sylvia Browne's patterns

I had the disdain of watching Wednesday with my wife, it was her birthday, a show of Sylvia Browne on Montel. Ok. Take it in, look at the actions. I did see something very interesting with this hoaxter.

In lieu of this year's earlier mishaps of being "found out" with the whole mining accident "revelations", Sylvia has had a great needful deal of correction in her camp. She did not fair well with Boteach either in a face-off. I give this woman credit for trying to hold up and indeed becoming old. She holds on like an iron horse though. As I watched this show yesterday, Sylvia was actually projecting a very loving and warm image. She showed deep concern in her face and has made an almost 360 turnaround from her usual complacent, "Faaah, I have been there, I know that" assinine little ego trip she has so graciously afforded herself through the sheeple that she more or less "masters over" as with the title of the new book, "If you could see what I see"...thus, the rate hike. But this is a couched approach, it is setting the stage for her son Chris, who lacks the "charisma?" or appeal that Sylvia does. Her own site now really supports that Chris is the only psychic she actually trusts. Convenient. But, this Montel also had a great deal of ringers in the audience. Sylvia was naming names (silences to bleep them out on Montel of course) and she was right on and the facial responses were very well rehearsed, however, I feel that if this is the pattern of her recent appearances on Montel, there is a two part thing going on here: (1) to "save face" with her potential fleeceable sheeple and (2) to open a stage to put Chris in as a "made man".

The real trick is that by avoiding the obvious as my friend at skepdic.com states in the theory of the "true believer syndrome", one must not even look at the truth all in the face and with powerful blinders, must redirect the attention elsewhere. This woman has a great deal to loose so there is definitely a large effort going on, to obfuscate the truth. Just as she has dodged Randi and his challenge so many times now, she has worked to twist it as if Randi has done something wrong. This is the weaving she is doing to the public and she has some really talented people in the "spin business" making this happen.

Does anyone know if Sylvia has been using ringers all along? Just watching this one show and knowing that her and Montel's careers and success have some orbit around the other, there has to be a knowing collusion of the two behind the scenes on ringers. This must be handled very well and I am waiting to see if anyone will break the silence and tell all.

You can say all day that you've helped hundreds, if not thousands of "police cases" be solved by "psychic powers"...if I would say that, I would have the integrity to make a billboard out of "SPECIFIC CASES" with needful testimonials that I would back everything I claim up with. I have never witnessed Sylvia's claims be backed by anything other than her own words and as she says on her site, "do not pay attention to what you hear from other people, e-mail us for the truth"..that is about as trusting Congress to have the power to give itself a pay raise and know that they will do the "right thing".

However, I feel Sylvia is headed for the last roundup on this one. She is drawing in the guns, loading them full and coming out with all the stops in this attempt to pass on her "legacy" of crap. I believe within a year, she will have let enough time pass to campaign herself as the victim of all these "skeptics" just dogging her with her own words...and Randi will be a show stopper in part of this..mind you, I am not psychic...just like the "cable special" something is in the mix and afoot with the queen of "psychic rip-offery"..and coming soon based on the changes in her approach.

No one has ever deeply validated with corroborating paperwork on the court cases about her frauding people, taking the money, funding her "novus spiritus" society and closing down her originally named enterprise of "psychic studies"..however, there is a case of such mishandling. Randi has been too above board to need to sink low.

I am just a man who loves his wife and is sad that she does believe in all the malarchy this old witch is brewing up in her smelly sock of ****-weaving. That she has been allowed to keep going for so long without the Bunko squad taking her down is not a testimony to her "abilities" but rather to her organization..and it is working. She is going to give L. Ron Hubbard a mouth full of dirt as going down and this era's better re-invention of P.T. Barnum.

sorry, perhaps I am just venting..thank you for the priviledge of being able to post this.

I can't even picture that.

You might as well have said that she was sexy. Or honest.

Well, as the old saying goes "The most important thing is sincerity. Learn to fake that, and you've got it made."

Longwalk, I meant to add: Nice first post.

Does your wife just enjoy watching Sylvia on TV, or is she deeper into it than that?

Know that there is hope. When I met my girlfriend, she believed in the psychic abilities of John Edward, James Van Praagh, and especially Sylvia Browne.

Now, more than four years later, she doesn't believe any of them.

I am more or less someone who goes along with the promises of Transpersonal Psychology..but in no way does this woman make sense, and unfortunately, my wife is very into Sylvia and very mad at me because I openly denounce her..and it is not to hurt my wife, I know that Sylvia Browne is well, like the color of ****, full of herself and there is a great number of people I know and have corresponded with who actually feel that fairies and gnomes do come through some "barrier" and enter this world and possibly play sneak a peak with people....I call some of these people friends, and in the true definition of friendship, a good friend will speak up and say something like "hey, that is about 10 degrees away from paranoid schizophrenia matey, why don't you ease up on the "cementing your emotions to your intellect" **** and maybe try to run 5 or ten miles in a short period of time, paint a painting, learn a foreign language, take college algebra or calculus, learn chemistry or something meaningful than waste you $$$ on that crap.
Why I go after Sylvia so deeply is that she denies that she enforces a religion, but the only source of her beliefs can be found in phone calls, books, tapes and sessions, salons and the like...there are some free call in shows, Montel..however, to get at anything meaningful within her "religion", it comes with accessories and revisions thereafter...perpetually..I just find it the height of arrogance to write a book "if you could see what I see"..and I like the Canadian law thing where it is a crime to be a "fortune teller"...and I am with the million dollar challenge in knowing the money is safe in that there will ever be one found..time is truly an illusion but there is only the present and what we make of it...the rest is unfolding as it happens in "real time"..not "supper silly psychic time"...the lady takes away from the fact that this is the life that matters...some day I would feel Sylvia might have a kool-aid party...but charge steeply for a cup's worth.
