Card Trick

http://card.trick.woot.cc/

1) Is it a real trick, or is it edited?
2) Is it an impressive trick? (well, in your opinion)

No, it's not edited.

It's a good trick and was done well. More impressive than many other tricks, less impressive that some, although that really depends on who you're trying to impress.

I was under the impression this was an extension of Hamman's Pinochle Trick which also uses the Gemini Count.

I noticed he didn't do the actual Gemini Count for the finale.

Just for fun I googled "jumping gemini". First thing that pops up is this. Same exact video...but read the comments below it!

Everything from "he's a witch!" to "holographic cards"...

Wow.
That's a real think tank they have going there.

"How do you know he's a witch?"

I must say, that was what initially impressed me. I do not foresee a language award in their future.

Actually, Jumping Gemini is not the easiest trick to learn. Nor is it particularly easy at all. There are several phases to it that must be done correctly in order for the trick to work. The sleight of hand itself is not difficult, though.

I also noticed he left out the opening phase where the cards are shown to be the four aces. This really sets the trick up and makes the last two phases more astonishing.

A nice effect, one of my favorites, and well performed.

Not the easiest, but not too much of a stretch. As DP says, the sleights are relatively easy ones. Only a bit harder is remembering the precise sequence of actions (practice, practice, practice). And possibly the hardest is fitting it to your style, personalizing it, and making it part of a set routine.
