yes, the military cover up IS that big..

I'm reading the book "Weird New England" by Joseph Cittro, who must be a total idiot.

One little article is entitled, "Bioposy of an Alien Bump". The autopsy of this mystery bump takes place at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. It is described as "pinkish in color and looked like chewed up bubble gum".

What makes Joseph Cittro think this is suspicious is that they sent the lump to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. A colonel had signed off on it, a Col. William R.Cowen.

The article ends with "what we find especially disturbing is that someone in a small Vermont hospital would know enough to send the mysterious pink object to a specific sir force pathologist. If, as some people believe, there really is a conspiracy to cover up military-alien contact, it must be pretty widespread to have reached Vermont. But then, we don't really know how widespread it is, do we?"

Huh?

If you have a tumor, you WANT the air force to look at it. They are the BEST in the world. Perhaps this persons physician did not tell him the reason the Armed Forces Pathology lab looked at his lump, but they do excellent work. A doctor at Brattleboro hospital was smart enough to know to send it there!

This book is total doo doo. Because the smallest checking, such as a call to ANY physician would come up with the answer.

Well, in his defense, I don't think the author believes it and I don't think he intends his readers to believe it. The purpose of that series of books is only to get people interested in the little oddities that swirl in the eddies of history. I think the author just wants to get people excited enough to reach for a real book.

the point is that he is slamming an organization that does wonderful work. Is someone really going to go look up the real story in another book? The tone is deadly serious on this one.

Slam all sorts of people, but not an organization dedicated to the treatment of cancer, especially in such an unselfish way. Anyone can submit a tumor, and this goes for world wide. They have saved many lives with their accurate diagnosis.
