(My question isn't really CT-related, but I figured many people who know about 9/11 hang out here, so I thought I'd ask in this subforum.)

Are there any pictures of this quality that show the damage that WTC7 sustained when the towers fell?

I'm asking because there's a guy on a Dutch forum spewing nonsense that I feel I need to debunk because almost no one else does. He doesn't retract his claims when shown wrong; he just makes a new claim. So far he has claimed there were no plane parts or dead passengers found at the Pentagon and Shanksville. I'm guessing we'll move on to controlled demolition soon.

There is a picture of the damage to WTC7 somewhere in these threads. Because of all the smoke and dust it's not the quality of the one you posted - but clear enough to show a lot of structural damage.

Here's another look at some of the damage to the south side of WTC 7. I'm not aware of any better images, due to the smoke conditions. This is a still from one of the videos below.

Keep in mind that the photo above may show only the relatively minor damage high on the building, not the major damage over perhaps 20 stories in the center of the building. It's impossible to say without better photos.

“So we go there and on the north and east side of 7 it didn’t look like there was any damage at all, but then you looked on the south side of 7 there had to be a hole 20 stories tall in the building, with fire on several floors. Debris was falling down on the building and it didn’t look good. But they had a hoseline operating. Like I said, it was hitting the sidewalk across the street, but eventually they pulled back too.

Then we received an order from Fellini, we’re going to make a move on 7. That was the first time really my stomach tightened up because the building didn’t look good. I was figuring probably the standpipe systems were shot. There was no hydrant pressure. I wasn’t really keen on the idea. Then this other officer I’m standing next to said, that building doesn’t look straight. So I’m standing there. I’m looking at the building. It didn’t look right, but, well, we’ll go in, we’ll see.

So we gathered up rollups and most of us had masks at that time. We headed toward 7. And just around we were about a hundred yards away and Butch Brandeis came running up. He said forget it, nobody’s going into 7, there’s creaking, there are noises coming out of there, so we just stopped. And probably about 10 minutes after that, Visconti, he was on West Street, and I guess he had another report of further damage either in some basements and things like that, so Visconti said nobody goes into 7, so that was the final thing and that was abandoned.  – Capt. Gravy, that image needs to be printed up and added to your Holy Binder for Saturday.

Print up a couple copies if you can. I'd like to literally rub them in the faces of the JAQ-offs.

Agreed. I'm going to be very aggressive on Saturday. I'm still completely disgusted with the crap they pulled on Monday.

Gravy, maybe you know this? The FDNY radio transmissions that were released (downloaded them all, now got to look for some sort of index) is there anywhere recorded that FDNY is talking about WTC7?

On 9/11 I had a scanner on and heard the NYPD version of the #7 collapse. Of the recent releases I have not heard #7's collpase.

Thanks. I'm not trough listening to al 900 minutes of recording yet. Must say, that's some chilling recordings. If there was conversation recorded, that might help debunking this myth. Or it could mean that the recordings have been faked... Nothing is never good enough for deniers.

I watched the Naudet film again tonight, and I think WTC7 is shown briefly. There is a very short shot of a building with fire literaly shooting out of some windows at the lower floors. Have to check that again later.

ETA: Didn't catch it first, but... WTF? You actually heard the live transmissions? Man, that must have been very exciting? (for lack of a better word, I'm not native English)
