Blind Kid Echo-Locates? Why am I skeptical?
Okay, why am I skeptical?
This is a really cool acheivement for someone who is overcoming a different way to get around the world, but this seems to me to be a bit over-blown. Is there something else going on? Could this be verified? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APRTkG__bww http://people.aol.com/people/article...212568,00.html http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1817689.shtml I searched this forum to see if I duplicated, but all I found was a thread from last year: http://forums.randi.org/showthread.p...t=echolocation |

I once climbed a 2000 ft hill with my eyes shut, in a group.
Interesting experience. You certainly do shut up and listen hard, and it is surprising how fast you learn to interpret quite subtle variations in sound. |
