The offer is for one person and one debate. I did not consider how I might choose between multiple applicants. Perhaps the peanut gallery can decide by consensus who they think would best represent the official story.

I also need to do some work clarifying the requirements for the positive position. A summary of relevant evidence is essential, for that is one of the main criticisms we have, namely, that so much relevant data is so often ignored.

First things first. If I can't come to terms with JREF, I'll have to go back to my original idea of getting someone to debate on television.

And, immediately, the backpedaling begins.

Now he has to have a sticky thread. Now he has to be at the top of the board. Not the post has to be up for a year. Now JREF has to meet his conditions, whatever they may be. Now he has to redefine what he really meant by "Resolved: WTC1,2, and 7 came down due to impact damage and fire," which I thought was pretty clear.

What's the matter, TruthSeeker1234, you're only interested in finding the truth if you get the movie rights? None of this puke is of any relevance whatsoever to your original offer, or your alleged interest in forcing a defense of the real story of 9/11.

That is an understatement. The cast walls of the concrete core were engineered to be near perfectly containment for the explosives coating the rebar. The floors had special plates cast into their concrete that cut the interior box columns taht surrounded the core outside of it.

First off, my name is not Kate. In fact, I'm not even female (sorry, dude). I guess I can understand the confusion, since my nick is often shortened to "Stella," something I never considered when I chose it. If your selection of me was influenced by believing that I'm a woman, then feel free to reconsider. If not, let's proceed...

Your book idea sounds very interesting, and I thought about it long and hard. But after careful consideration, I'm afraid I must decline. Frankly, I do not believe the 9/11 denier movement has enough broad public appeal and longevity to justify a publisher taking on this project. By the time our debate is done (which I'm assuming would be several months from now), I'm not sure anyone is going to care. An article, on the other hand, is a viable possibility, and I suspect I could find someone willing to publish it as such. However...

The original proposal was for a debate in this forum, following Arkan's rules. Taking the debate "private" really isn't in accordance with the spirit of the proposal. And much as I'd like an easy $1000 (and trust me, in my line that's nothing to sneeze at), in some weird way I feel like I'd be betraying this forum by accepting.

So bottom line: Let's have the debate the way it was original proposed, or feel free to select another person for this job. (I believe there are a number of other professional writers who post here, and perhaps one might be interested.)

I don't pretend to speak for Stellafane but this is insulting to the forum as a whole. You not only keep moving the goalposts, you're changing the measurements of the playing field, changing the rules, deflating the ball, and naming new linesmen and referees!
