Given what I remember about BT, telepathy may well be an improvement over their service.

The link doesn't work (at least it doesn't work for me), none of the photos appears, and there seems to be no discussion of the issues. As far as I can tell, there is no need to preserve this thread.

I seem to recall hearing a similar rumour about two years ago.
Meanwhile, there's always this- http://www.skepticalinvestigations.o...lls_video.html |

It's not a question of voting, it's a question of judgment. As I've said in other posts, members should exercise some judgment when bumping threads. It appears to me that you did not apply good sense when you decided to preserve this thread, because there does not appear to be anything to preserve. |

I do not vote that the thread be deleted. I merely question your decision to have it preserved. In its day, the thread had a perfectly legitimate purpose. But now, the content is no longer obtainable, and what's left seems to have little value. It has been suggested elsewhere that pruning threads is like burning library books. I do not think that is so. A librarian can tell you that libraries routinely discard books that are redundant or that have outlived their usefulness. From what I could tell, this thread outlived its usefulness. It was going to be discarded in the ordinary course of events, but for your intervention to save it. I just don't see why that intervention was reasonable here. |
