2007 $160 billion supplemental appropriation to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

I guess that it's just a coincidence that the request for an extra 'unforeseen' $160 Billion supplemental comes a just few days after the midterm election. I don't think that Bush will be able to use the 'soft on Terrorism' and support our troops spin (yet again) to easily push this one through. Maybe even the Neocons will wake up and realize that the Iraq Fiasco is a massive cash sinkhole that is weakening the US Economy. |
