Yet Another Stupid Video--Debunking Popular Mechanics
Sheesh, Ray Davies once pointed out that everybody's in show business, but this is getting ridiculous. The geniuses at Pumpitout.com, perhaps best known for hosting the kooky Canadian's crank phone calls to the FBI and elsewhere, have put together an audio/video (static slides) debunking of Popular Mechanics. Of course, my confidence level was not raised by the description the creator placed on his video:
Quote:
They go on to an appearance by James Meigs (who even Dylan admits is a nice guy) on Jack Blood. Hilariously, Alex Jones calls in within a minute or so of the show going on the air and starts claiming how the Hearst Corporation (who I gather is the owner of Popular Mechanics) is known for yellow journalism (true a long time ago) and covert ops. Jones goes on to present evidence to debunk Popular Mechanics, like a claim that National Geographic reporters had the "perfect cover" to go around the world (apparently conducting these covert ops). Then we get the second segment, called The Real NORAD tapes and it's the Kook Canuck himself, calling NORAD to do some investigative work on the number of times planes were intercepted prior to 9-11. Gravy said earlier that this was a rare day for stupidity. I haven't seen all of this movie yet, but it might be the capper. |

I was going to watch this video but I made the mistake of seeing that other one about the cartoon plane and faces in the smoke.
To simulate the projected effect of having watched this video, I have decided to drain a liter of cognac and then run into the empty bottle with my head until it is shards (the bottle). |

Oh my god! I had to turn it off, 'cause I couldn't keep listening to that phone-guy and his stupid "aboot's"!
