Creationist, Intelligent Design 'education' center

http://www.akronfossils.com/

This place is right down the street from my house. They are really trying to attract the kiddies and get support from many area businesses (see the 2006 silent auction donor list on the bottom). I want to do something - suggestions?

My suggestion is that you give me your wife. If that's her picture in your avatar then I'll take her.

This has nothing to with that creation theme park, but you weren't specific about what your suggestions involved.

No - but as a consolation prize for participating in the thread, I will give you her one eyed shihtzu, Buster.

Pick some clear cut inaccurate details, write a letter explaining how this group is preverting science and email/mail the letter to the businesses. Be clear that what they want kids to believe http://www.akronfossils.com/programs.html is the antithesis of current science.

Then see how the businesses respond. In their defense, maybe they donated $20 or $50.

The website reeks of for-profit business ran by ill-informed people:

Akron Fossils & Science Center is a museum and science center devoted to teaching Creation Science and Intelligent Design models in contrast to Evolutionary models. The center features hands-on science as well as many fossils from Ohio and around the world. Individuals, families and groups will enjoy our informative displays as they journey through a series of questions in search of truth.

Funny, I didn't see any details about degrees or education from the people who claim to have dinosaur fossils. I'm willing to bet the fossils these people have are along the lines of the stuff Carl Baugh, like dinosaur teeth, and so on., or what Hovind has, like a fossil of a London Hammer. Note Baugh and Hovind's websites sell replica fossils and this is where many creationists get their "fossils" from. For example, Hovind has a "replica" of Baugh's replica that claims to be a gaint ten foot tall man.
