Political Make up of the Conspiracy Forum

I am intruiged by the political make up of this forum so I have raised a poll to get a benchmark.

I have kept the categories relatively broad so I'm sure most people will be able to fit theirselves in somewhere.

I don't know if these polls are anonymous but I am not interested in individuals anyway, just the general leanings of the forum.

You want politics, go elsewhere. My political leanings are none of your business, so fugitaboudit.

This isn't an easy one to reply to. I'm a liberal in Britain, which tends to mean something along the lines of a centrist, to the left of the Conservative party and far to the left of New Labour. However, in the USA the word appears to mean something different, at least when spoken by right wing commentators in a particular tone of voice. Any idea how that translates?

I don't even know what "political make up" you're talking
about. The 9/11 issue is a political one, too. So there are
blurred lines between politics and CT's. But what i really
can't understand is why the Holocaust is an issue in here.
Could someone sum up the conspiracy theorie about it?

Me either, but I don't mind telling people my politics. I'm American, I don't belong to any political party but I vote democratic 90% of the time. Above all, I'm a Bush-hater.

Uhm, what is the difference between a libertarian and a "fiscal conservative, social libertarian".

As best as I can tell, true libertarians are very fisically conservative (in the American sense of the term).

OK anyway here's me: I generally vote Labor and spread my preferences between The Greens and The Democrats, making sure I always put the Liberal Party last. That counts for State and Federal elections, Upper and Lower houses of Parliament.

Does that make any sense to you Mr W. Rea?

That would be me. I don't know whether I am more a fiscal fascist, a Premonstratensian monetist, or merely a pecuniary baboon.

I am a strong supporter of the MLB Hall Of Fame voting scheme. If no candidate gets mentioned on 3/4 of the ballots then nobody gets the job. Not only that, but Ron Santo might make it into the White House before he goes to Cooperstown.

Heheh, just kidding.

I don't care for these kinds of categories; who is on the left of the line and who is on the right.
I prefer to be ahead of the line, drawing it forward. Progressive, iow.

I know it's not a scientific poll, but the results match my impressions of JREF fairly closely. Of course I'm skeptical we have any real fascists here.

If they were polled, I guess conspiracy folks would all claim to be "none of the above."

@ William Rea:

I think it's an interesting Q, too, to be honest.
But what if the poll questions paired woo left & woo right with OCT left and OCT right?

4 choices:

I lean left and am a so-called OCTer
I lean left and think it was an inside job
I lean right and am a so-called OCTer
I lean right and think it was an inside job.
