Now I understand--with crystal clarity--why it has been shown that atheists have higher IQ's than believers. My soon to be ten year old is certain this is a parody! There is no convincing her that this "film" could possibly be serious.

While still in high school, Chuck built a digital computer in the family garage. Source

Chuck met and married his wife in 1956... that means Chuck built a digital computer in his family garage in the early 50s or late 40s?

Does anybody else think this is an out and out lie? I mean, not that Chuck doesn't do a bit of that from time to time. But why something so blatantly obvious? Back then the computers were the size of garages!

I didn't see the word "digital" in the cited reference. An analog computer is certainly within the realm of possibility. Also, the definition of computer being used in the article is probably a very loose one. A simple array of knife switches, a battery, wire, and a lamp that "computes" the safe or unsafe states for the farmer crossing the river with a chicken, fox, and corn (one at a time) could be called a computer.

Spontaneous Generation occurs in peanut butter? Is that the theory?

I swear, every time they come up with a new "Atheist's Nightmare!", I get nightmares. But from different sources than they may think.

Yeah, that's what they think that evolution means. Life arose from nothing, with lightning! I'd point them to, say, The Selfish Gene, but somehow I doubt that it'd receive much consideration.

The only knowledge of science literature such as The Selfish Gene YEC'ers have is that it seems to appear on a list of books that they should give bad reviews about on Amazon without actually reading them.

It seems that the idea of abiogenesis needs to be broken down to "matter and energy makes life, EVERY SINGLE TIME, no matter WHICH matter it is, because we all know we scientists never got any more specific than that" in order to find a flaw in it.

Well sure if you get the details completely wrong, or absent, then you may find problems in the theory.

I was looking in a drawer for some stamps and found an old book from my old worldview I had forgotten about called "The ANSWERS Book" (with, apparently, magical Hello Kitty stickers on it, don't ask). It's a book that claims to answer 12 questions about creationism. Really, scanning the thing I'm sickened at this point that I ever found the arguments rational. However, it's very much lacking in any real details or evidence. That's the only side of evolution I was exposed to though... At any rate, I'm reading it again just to actually research the insane claims it makes. It is fairly old (not much, it's just from the 1990's), but old enough to notice that nothing has changed at all. It's the same tired arguments we hear today. Nothing new at all.

I've been inspired by Chuck Missler's airtight logic. Here's my hypothesis: scientists claim that cars start when you put the key in the ignition and turn it. However, when I put my car key in a jar of peanut butter and turn it, NOTHING HAPPENS. Therefore, only God can start a car and internal combustion is a fairy tale.

Evilutionists say that life evolves new traits to deal with it's environment. Well, in my three decades of life, I haven't seen any new mutations that help me play xbox better.

Agree. Anyone even thinking about the merest possibility that that festering pile of dung might be real is either insane, or seriously lacking in grey matter.

I don't think the point of this videos is profit in a direct way. These people have to defend their religion at all costs. If people start accepting established science and realize it's all hooey, their entire way of life is gone.

This is grasping at straws to justify religious belief.

It's also really, really lame.

Your coffee is hot, it has chemicals in it.. yet no life is spontaneously emerging. How is that possible if abiogenesis is right?

OK, saw the thread title and just assumed this was a Way of the Master thing. You see, Kirk and the mustache man say that the banana is proof of God's design. And what's the best damn food combo in God's creation? That's right: peanut butter and banana.
