Opera cpu usage 99% at petfoodnstuff site

When I have petfoodnstuff.com open in an Opera tab, the amount of cpu usage for Opera shoots up to almost 100% (100 minus whatever cpu is in use by other processes). Close the petfoodnstuff.com tab in Opera and Opera's cpu usage goes down to around 0%.

Very odd. I've tried logging off and on, plus restarting XP ... but as soon as I open a tab and visit the petfoodnstuff.com website Opera's cpu usage shoots back up to almost 100%.

I've reported the problem to petfoodnstuff (had to use IE7) but wondered if anyone here might have an idea what's going on in Opera?

XP SP2, all MS updates, Opera 9.20 (and 9.02).

I got the same effect (although in my case cpu use was only 50%). Very strange.

My guess: Some sort of clientside application on the side is not compatible with your browser. Cant test it as I don't have opera though.....

D'oh! I should have thought of that. I blame my habit of browsing the CT forum ... that's done bad things to my brain.
