Logically Critical
Is anyone else here a fan of logically Critical? I think the guy is a hoot and I enjoy the production values.

I listen to him, but sometimes his insistence on unusual vocabulary choices bugs me. Also, he tries a wee bit too hard to be funny. Sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he mashes the low-hanging fruit to a pulp. Also, his character voices are kind of lame. He's gotten a lot better, though. At least he's trying to liven things up.
Another point I feel I should mention is that I almost stopped listening to him after his pro gay rights podcast because he kept casually referring to homosexuals as "f@gs." That's kind of totally not okay. I got over it though, since he wasn't really using it as a derogatory term. It's just...it's not his word. I hate to be PC, but I'm from San Francisco and I can't help being a little sensitive about this issue. Over all, I give it a 3 out of 4 because it's nice to hear an approach to critical thinking that doesn't rely on references to come to logical conclusions. I often find his arguments very helpful when dealing one on one with believers in pub conversations. |

I like it, but I haven't listened to all that many. The episode on Pascal's wager was great, as was the one about ghosts. I thought he brought a new perspective.
