God's Return to Europe
In Europe, God Is (Not) Dead
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB118434936941966055.html "After decades of secularization, religion in Europe has slowed its slide toward what had seemed inevitable oblivion. There are even nascent signs of a modest comeback. Most church pews are still empty. But belief in heaven, hell and concepts such as the soul has risen in parts of Europe, especially among the young, according to surveys." |

I'm glad he finally left the states. I hope he takes all the fundies with him.

Catholicism and Orthodoxy have always had a toehold in the minds of Eastern Europeans, even if they were suppressed under Communism so I'm not surprised that the sentiment is there, if not the attendance. The evangelicals also seem to be making headway in parts of Europe (I see a lot of fundy types on Christianforums from the UK).

What a shame. Hopefully, they can get back on track relatively quickly.
