More DNA and math nonsense from Lee Carroll and Gregg Braden
image of Lee Carroll courtesy of www.kryon.comIt seems that at least one popular New Age channeler, Lee Carroll (who travels the world giving live channels of an entity he calls Kryon ®), has taken to editing the transcripts after the fact. Here is the disclaimer he seems to be using a lot lately: <div style="border: solid black 1px; margin: 0 32px 0 0; padding: 24px; background-color: #fff8f0;">This channelling has been added-to and enhanced by Kryon, through Lee Carroll in a rechannelling process over the actual transcribed channelling. This has been done in order to make it more valuable for the written word and to bring clarity to concepts that were given energetically within the live channellings.</div> Interesting that he calls it a "rechanneling process". Didn't Kryon get it right the first time? At least he owns up to it. For his latest DNA nonsense and base twelve math mumbo jumbo, see the transcript of: Live Kryon Channelling - Philadelphia, PA, July 27, 2003 Here's an excerpt that I found expecially amusing: <div style="border: solid black 1px; margin: 0 32px 0 0; padding: 24px; background-color: #fff8f0;">Let's review some DNA information that we've just recently given. DNA is 12 layers deep. Each DNA layer has two major balancing attributes. Therefore, there are 24 attributes total. The layer that you can see in your reality we will call number one [the biochemical one]. Although it's impossible to numerically list and enumerate interdimensional things, we will still count them 1 through 12 to help you understand. Whereas your science sees 11 dimensions in everything, there are actually 12. And we say again to the physicists and to the scientists that you're on the right track, but you forgot to count the zero. Zero is not "nothing," and it is not "infinity." It is an integer that is interdimensional. When you start to use it in your 12-based math, it will be the magic you need, and the one that will propel you to the stars. For the zero in 12-based math is the only number that holds the potential of what could be and what has been--truly an interdimensional number. There's nothing in your current math that holds this kind of energy. Twelve-based math will help you with physics, which is out of 4D. It is the computational method of the future.</div> As part of the "new information" being given in this particular session (channel), he goes on to say that the third layer of our DNA is the "ascension layer". Don't laugh, this is important stuff to some people, even though the science and math go right over their heads. From my (limited) conversations with Mr. Carroll, I conclude he has no clue what he is talking about. Nor does his "math advisor", James Watt, but that's another story. They both spout math and science jargon like cargo cultists. For example, Lee Carroll seems to think that Pi is a rational number in base twelve, because Kryon told him so. I am guessing that many JREF forum members will find it tedious to read that entire transcript and I really don't expect anyone here to do that. From first hand observations, however, I can tell you that for some people (Kryon groupies in particular), they can't get enough of this kind of stuff, and pay good money to go see the live channels. It might not be a stretch to say that some of the weekend shows put on by Carroll and company are in many ways similar to a New Age version of Randi's TAM. For example, the upcoming Kryon ® event in Hamburg, Germany (October 11-12, 2003), is scheduled to feature guest speaker, Gregg Braden (another New Age wacko). See http://www.kryon.com/k_24.html for this excerpt about Braden's scheduled topic: <div style="border: solid black 1px; margin: 0 32px 0 0; padding: 24px; background-color: #fff8f0;">What would it mean to discover an ancient language—a literal message—hidden within the DNA of life itself? What we once believed about our past is about to change… A coded language revealing powerful evidence of our origins has been found within the molecules of life itself! Through a remarkable discovery linking Biblical alphabets to our genetic code, the DNA in our bodies may now be read as a timeless message of hope and possibility.</div> What I wanna know is, where do they get this stuff? I mean, really, where does this "information" come from? Kryon ® is a registered trademark owned by Lee Carroll. |

A shorter word: Idiocy.
I have an even shorter one, but it is not allowed on this board. Hans |

I love the crap that is spun here. It shows a complete ignorance of dimensions, DNA...you name it. OK, so there is information in the first two dimensions. Maybe at a push, with evidence, I'd accept information in a third. Fourth? Time? You're pushing it. Fifth? I understand this mathematically, sort of, but as far as I know it has no real implications in anything. Athon |

Richard Rockley has written a (very good, otherwise it wouldn't be on SkepticReport!) book review of Braden's book:

And it's going to get worse. A few weeks ago I had a conversation with someone who believes that there are "indigo children" (I know you've discussed this before, Xoup), who are descended from aliens, have an extra strand of DNA, are immune to diseases such as AIDS, and are here for some purpose. She believed this because, and I quote, "I just know". This was going to be linked somehow to the end of the Mayan calendar on 12/23/12, which happens to coincide with a planetary alignment (she said). I forget what the consequences of this were supposed to be. Or perhaps I just couldn't be bothered to ask. I have a prediction. All these new age nutjobs – the Braden pole-shift group, the Indigo children, Planet X – all of them, will concentrate on 12/23/12 as being the day something big is going to happen. The craziness has only just started. If you thought Planet X was nuts, just wait for 12/23/12. And remember – we've got nine years of it to go. The only consolation will be waking up on 12/24/12 and finding nothing has changed. |
