Geo-Marine uses dowsers to spot graves
Talk about spending other people's money on scam services. Check out the following:
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcont...1.421fee6.html In a nutshell, a stretch of property turns out to have once been part of the graveyard next door. Geo-Marine, a "respected" survey company, dispatched a dowser to locate possible graves before actually digging (tenth paragraph down). Why not just throw lawn darts and mark the spot? Beanbag |

The Mitchel County Pioneer Cemetery Restoration Project uses dowsers. When I called them out on it, they stopped advertising the fact, but they still use them.

Geo-Marine's site, just in case you'd like to look around. I notice that dowsing isn't listed on the home page. Oh, well. I suppose having someone tottering over the site with a forked stick or whatever gives the customer the illusion that something's happening. Beanbag |

Are you certain it was a forked stick, and not a long rod? Forensic specialists locate graves by poking a rod into the ground, loooking for disturbed soil.

The article specifically said "dowser." Could be the reporter made a mistake.
