Qi Gong - A JREF forum exclusive!

Hi gang.
Thought I'd give everyone here a head's up as this is my first website I've authored, and there's bound to be mistakes, so I'm posting the link here first before it goes live to the public. (actually, I posted the link on the comments section of the YouTube videos that featured the original clips too)

Back on Nov. 10, 2006, I was reading James Randi's weekly SWIFT newsletter when I came across an item about an elderly Chinese gentleman who was claiming to be able to move objects using his "chi", or internal energy that he harnesses through years of meditation. Mr. Randi had this to say:
Quote:
Speaking of silly, yet another Asian wonder-worker has popped up on YouTube with demonstrations of his magical powers. One of my correspondents naïvely suggests that there might be magnets concealed under the table (!), but I think it can all be more easily summed up by: “Pay no attention to that man under the table curtain!”
And here's the video I saw when I followed the link: (If anyone can translate the video for me, PLEASE send me an e-mail!) tinyurl(dot)com/2o9joo

The following week someone remarked how they had seen a CCTV show debunking this fraud. I spent a LONG time tracking them down, found them, and then built a little website:

itsjustnotpossible(dot)com/QiGong(dot)html
itsjustnotpossible(dot)com/QiGong2(dot)html
itsjustnotpossible(dot)com/move_things(dot)html

The last page actually contains the long video clips (in chinese) of him being caught in the act. For those of you who would like to watch JUST the actual debunking parts without sitting through the presenter, and the lame kung fu movie action sequences, I've uploaded the edited versions to my YouTube pages:
youtube(dot)com/lennyhipp

It's still in progress, but I will appreciate any feedback you guys can give. I'm going to start publicizing with outside links in mid-August, so it's the JREF forum and a select few others who have this info a few weeks in advance.

There is one mistake someone brought to my attention: the bit about the cleaver. MY conclusion was based on lack of evidence in the video, but this "trick" was explained to me, and it has been shown that a sharp knife will not cut the skin as long as it isn't slicing.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it... I'm aleady hard at work on my next article... a sound debunking of James Young and his astrology crap that has already got some mentions here on the JREF forums!

best,
Len
