A Brief History of Disbelief, in the US!

Well, the first of the pro-athiest stuff from England is finally starting to appear in the US. A Brief History of Disbelief just debuted, on Detroit PBS anyway, last night.

They ran a big disclaimer explaining how this was from 2005, and they were finally showing it in the US with big, weighty rationales and gravity, probably to throw knee-jerkers off the scent.

Maybe Dawkins'll be next. Thank God (so to speak) another crack has finally appeared.

The government should nationalize it! Socialized, single-payer video game development and sales now! More, cheaper, better games, right? Right?

I strongly advise everyone who's interested in the subject to watch and/or record all three installments of this show.

Of our three PBS stations, only one showed this mini-series. They only showed it once, and that was at 10pm! I missed about half of it, but I really enjoyed the parts that I did manage to see. If I had known it wouldn't be on again locally, I would've recorded it!

Yeah, I TiVo'd it because I happened to stumble across it, just a few minutes before it started. Gonna snag the next 2 on the next 2 Sundays.

I would have liked to have seen that series. I wonder if it's availible on Netflix.

A great book I read on the history of secularism in America was Susan Jacoby's Freethinkers.

edit - is this it?
