2) What's a ute?

Google indicates they are a 19th century Bishop, and an American Indian Tribe. Neither seem like a place you would take your daughters to abuse them. But you silly Australians.. Who know?

A friend of mine told me that what messed up her mind the most about having sex with her Dad (starting at age 14) was that after a while, she started physically enjoying it. So not only did she have to deal with the shame and moral misery of engaging in incest, she then had severe guilt about enjoying sex. She said she thought her head was going to explode at times.

The experience markedly affected her ability to have a normal sexual relationship as a young woman.

As a father of a young daughter I tried to find my own emotion to the OP, but the best I could come up was shivering in disgust. It doesn't surprise me that fundmentalists (or at least some of them) could behave like this, because the Bible could be used to justify incest (and I'm thinking about Lot in particular, who for some reason in the New Testament was described as "a preacher of righteousness")

By no means even a majority of fundamentalists would behave like this with a case of incest in their midst. I know some who would be genuinely appalled.

So not only did she have to deal with the shame and moral misery of engaging in incest, she then had severe guilt about enjoying sex. She said she thought her head was going to explode at times. The experience markedly affected her ability to have a normal sexual relationship as a young woman. Q

Q I think there's a poster on this forum who would understand that precisely, she has said the same thing - enjoying it physically while being mentally repulsed. It must be an ugly configuration to try to deal with.
